Welcome!

I am a philosopher of science and race, based at the Centre for the Study of the Life Sciences (Egenis), University of Exeter, UK.

My work examines the limits and implications of scientific classifications. My current focus is on human ancestry and how it is used in evolution and biomedicine.

Starting in January 2025, I lead HUGERA: an ERC-funded project that develop a framework for ethically responsible research in human genomics.
