I am philosopher of science and race based at the University of Exeter, UK.

My work examines the limits and implications of scientific classifications, with emphasis on the ideas of lineages and human genealogy.

I also work on the application of evolutionary theory to complex systems and other issues at the intersection of philosophy and evolution.
