CELSO NETO
I transferred to the University of Calgary (Canada) in September 2016, receiving my Ph.D. in August 2020. Marc Ereshefsky was my dissertation supervisor.
After that, I worked with Ford Doolittle (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) and Letitia Meynell (Philosophy) at Dalhousie University, Canada. Our interdisciplinary research is documented here.
Since January 2022, I am a lecturer in philosophy at the University of Exeter, United Kingdom. There I am part of Egenis and the Department of Sociology, Philosophy, and Anthropology.
Outside work, you can probably find me playing music, traveling, or watching world cinema.
I was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. There I did my B.A. and M.A. in philosophy at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais.
Around that time, I was a visiting student at the Universität des Saarlandes and the Universität Duisburg-Essen, both in Germany.
In 2014, I started my doctoral studies at the Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany, under the supervision of Thomas Reydon.
